About

OPUS is a project at the University of Virginia with the goal of making it easy for researchers to run studies where users donate data about their online footprint. It supports informed consent, including options for subjects to view their data before allowing it to be incorporated in a study; automated, semi-automated, and manual data collection from a wide variety of social media and social networking sites; and real-time data analytics. OPUS is designed to guard subjects’ privacy and be compliant with Human Subjects Research rules.
